First Ten Pages

One of the most popular requests, your first ten pages are your shot at persuading an agent to ask for more or put your story down. Whether you’re on an Indie author path or a traditional one, page one is critical to capturing that sale.

This edit includes feedback on author voice, tips to sharpen the people, places, and plot, and a light copy edit to highlight the craft elements to strengthen.

First Three Chapters

Another common request for querying authors, your first three chapters highlight whether you've grasped narrative concepts. They must be memorable and dynamic enough to carry the reader to the very end.

This edit includes feedback on voice and POV (point of view), people, places, plot, pacing, and structure, as well as a light copyedit to identify elements in need of further sculpting.

$400 for 10,000 words (or $0.04/word)

First Fifty Pages

Books are sold on their first 50 pages—if an editor doesn't feel convinced by then, chances are they won't be by page 100.

This developmental edit includes feedback on voice/POV, characters, plot, place, and structure; a light copyedit to identify red flags and repeated elements that get in the way of your story; and an assessment of the tone and themes at play.

$500.00 for 12,500 words (or $0.04/word)
